- This session is an example of an ACT-informed exposure.
This is a session with a mock client that illustrates completion of an exposure from an ACT perspective. This session is held via Telehealth so the client can do the exposure in their home.
This session is with a 52-year-old, non-binary client who has symmetry-related or "just right" obsessions with objects in their home.
Therapist: All right. We plan to practice with some objects in your home today, right? Client: Yep. I'm ready. Therapist: Great! As a reminder, what we're going to do today is purposely bring up some difficult thoughts and feelings so we can practice with them. I believe you're going to adjust your clothing in your closet. Am I remembering that right? Client: Yeah. I can move a blue shirt in with the red ones.
