Meet Your Instructor: Lindsay M. Bira, Ph.D.

Dr. Lindsay Bira is a clinical health psychologist, adjunct medical professor, and TEDx speaker who specializes in evidence-based treatment for PTSD and the effects of trauma. She is a national Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) trainer and a CPT Quality Provider. For five years, she was a lead clinician for Dr. Patricia Resick’s clinical research trials with the US military. She is also an expert in civilian cases of sexual abuse and assault.
She received her Ph.D. at the University of Miami and completed her residency in trauma and behavioral medicine at Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine, before completing an additional two-year clinical research fellowship in trauma psychology. She then transitioned to medical faculty as an assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Texas (UT) Health School of Medicine, where she contributes to research and creates physician wellness initiatives.

Dr. Bira launched her private practice and speaking business in 2016 so she could use her strong background and expertise to help more people quickly, allowing them to reach their full potential and maximize health and wellbeing. She weaves together her top-tier research background, extensive clinical expertise, and vibrant personal style to deliver effective and engaging initiatives that deepen existence, wellbeing, and performance in all areas of life. She is currently based in Miami.
