Therapist and Client

Brian Pilecki, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist based in Portland, Oregon. He has been practicing from an ACT orientation since around 2008, and it’s the primary modality he uses to work with his clients.

Charles is a 28-year-old, white, cis male who identifies as mostly straight, presenting to therapy with symptoms of depression. He’s a first-generation American, as his parents emigrated from Eastern Europe, and is very close to his family. He grew up with one sister in a tight-knit community of other individuals from Eastern European cultures. There are a few friends from childhood he still keeps in touch with. He currently works in a hospital as a nurse.
