Big City, Small Steps
There were some things Hannah was afraid to do outside of session, so they became part of in session work. This included texting a friend who was moving to a European city with another friend, to ask if they needed a third roommate. They did, and Hannah agreed to think about it. Time was spent processing what such a move might mean, and whether she could be supported. Her siblings took part in this work by providing encouragement.
Hannah started saving money, to have what she needed if she did move and pay rent. So she was taking small steps toward moving far away to a big city. And she has done that. She has signed a lease and, while she doesn’t yet have a job, she has savings and support. She researched job agencies, and submitted applications and cover letters, while still in session. She was really scared to do all this but she did it anyway, smiling and excited.
