Emotion Regulation Toolbox: The Must-Have Techniques

Duration: 48:24

Description

This module on emotion regulation uses a variety of metaphors and structured techniques to help clients build emotional stability and resilience. Through the Garden Analogy, clients learn to cultivate emotional well-being by planting the right SEEDS—focusing on physical health factors like sleep, eating, and exercise—and ensuring they are grounded in accurate information using a 10-step fact-checking process. Psychoeducation is provided to debunk common myths about emotions, fostering a healthier understanding of emotional experiences. Clients are also guided through problem-solving techniques to manage external stressors and taught daily practices using the ABCD Strategy to promote emotional balance. Together, these exercises help clients develop a life worth living by aligning their actions with their personal values and goals.
