Meet Your DBT Expert: Kirby Reutter, Ph.D.
Kirby Reutter is a bilingual clinical psychologist with extensive training and certification in DBT. Dr. Reutter integrates his DBT expertise into his role with the United States Department of Homeland Security, delivering essential treatment services to asylum seekers facing complex psychological challenges.
Dr. Reutter is a TED speaker and the author of The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook for PTSD: Practical Exercises for Overcoming Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Holding advanced certifications in DBTC, LMHC, and MAC, Dr. Reutter's career is marked by a dedicated commitment to enhancing mental health care and training professionals in highly effective therapeutic techniques.

2. Analyze the impact of dialectical thinking and validation strategies on patient progress, focusing on balancing acceptance and
change to improve therapeutic efficacy.
3. Identify ways to adapt the DBT framework to specific conditions such as borderline personality disorder and complex trauma.

Join our first live interactive training, we believe you’ll find this method engaging and convenient. Our process is straightforward. Using Zoom for our trainings means no special software is needed. You can watch from any device connected to the internet with sound capability, and a camera isn’t required. We send out Zoom links through email, complete with easy-to-follow instructions, reminders, and comprehensive support.
In our Zoom trainings, you won’t be able to see other participants, but you’ll have various opportunitiees to interact with our instructor(s) in real time. There are no post-tests. The CE credits you earn are typically recognized as in-person credits by most professional boards. You can get your certificate one day after the training, once you complete the survey form.
