Meet Your Instructor: Sheri L. Turrell, Ph.D., C. Psych.

Dr. Sheri Turrell is a clinical psychologist, an ACBS peer-reviewed trainer in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and a psychoanalyst from Toronto, Canada, with over 20 years of experience in mental health. She divides her professional time between private practice; supervising students; and providing consultation and training, locally and internationally, to graduate students and clinicians.
Sheri is most passionate about her ACT work with adolescents and adults in individual and group work. She has facilitated ACT groups for teens for over 10 years and, more recently, parent groups. Her first book, ACT for Adolescents, co-authored with Mary Bell, was published in 2016. 2018 saw the release of The Mindfulness and Acceptance Workbook for Teen Anxiety, co-authored by Sheri, Mary, and Chris McCurry. Sheri recently released her first virtual on-demand course, Choose Your Life for Teens and Young Adults, via lifeinbalancetherapy.ca
